Cost for DSA/Full Educational Assessment £575
This £575 includes:
- Prior consultation with parents, student and school to discuss what issues need to be investigated
- Post-report feedback straight after a home visit or feedback with SENCo at school
- A preliminary outline of results is given directly after the assessment and the full report is available after a maximum of two weeks
- Educational assessments tailored to meet the needs of the individual
- A full Education report or DSA diagnostic report with learning profile and suggestions for action
- Access Arrangements
Exam Access Assessment - £150
I can only assess for exam access at the schools where I am the assigned Access Arrangements Assessor.
I must have had contact with the SENCo in advance.
I must have received a Form 8 Part 1 which gives a history of the candidate’s difficulties, how these difficulties affect the candidate and detailing the candidate’s normal way of working. The Centre must support the access arrangement.
I can come into schools and see a group of students for access arrangements. I see students in a group at the start of the day for 45 minutes for the writing, spelling and decoding tasks. I then see students for about 35 minutes one-to-one for text reading speed / accuracy / fluency, sight word and non-word reading efficiency, memory for digits / letters / hand movements and rapid naming speed for digits / letters.
I produce a table of results for the SENCo together with a paragraph on each student describing the access arrangements they qualify for. I provide school with my portable DBS, my most recent safeguarding and my APC qualification.
Please remember that students with a diagnosed medical need such as ASD/ADHD etc or an EHCP will probably not need assessment and that some boards such as the IB will require a full assessment.
Schools can and will decline to apply for EAA if contact is not made before assessment.
Schools will also need to support the EAA applied for.
Reports and/or Form 8s are guaranteed to be ready within a fortnight of assessment.
I do not take payment in advance but do not release reports until payment has been made in full, preferably by bank transfer.
